The winds of change…

A light wind swept over the corn, and all nature laughed in the sunshine. – – -Anne Bronte

Change of pace, change of scenery, change of address for a little bit. Sunday dawn has graced our mountain top and true to its name the Evergreen 🌲 of Colorado sings a sweet song to our soul. And this Mama 🐻 ❤️beats with a peace and joy now being closer in to my youngest cub.

Our travels cross country were adventurous and fun. 1700 miles in 2 1/2 days pit stopping in Louisville KY and Hays KS. Friday lunch in Denver and a walk about Curtis Park before heading west to Evergreen teeing up mountain living. Our first day guests (besides the chipmunks) were our friends from El Paso. We immensely enjoyed the day w the Flaherty’s hanging on the sun deck, hiking @ the property and feasting for dinner at Maya Cantina down the mountain in town. Always the best blessing to connect w friends you live far away from and picking up right where you left off. ❤️

Today we’ll head to Evergreen 🌲 lake to hike and take in some boat 🚣‍♀️ activity. Wherever you are today, take a deep, rich breath of fresh air and thank God for this spectacular Sunday!

Cheers 🥂 from the mountain top!

  1. Colorado state motto: “Nil sine numine”, meaning: Nothing without Providence or Deity.

Great scenery, food and drink look super, best of all is that handsome cub and his lady! That older couple look pretty good too. See Sam and Daisy weathered another journey. Hope the chipmunks are friendly!

Looking forward to your keeping us traveling with you all via the blog!

  2. The milo and wild sunflower bring back great memories of quail hunting in Kansas with John and Frank Shaw, Dohn Broadwell, Ted Ray and Charlie Holt. Looks like a fabulous trip. Very jealous. Thanks for the memories.
