Maine or Bust

After 10 bust it hours we made it to Maine. Crazy traffic through NYC and Connecticut. We face timed the Walkers in the tunnel past the George Washington Bridge to prove we’d lost our minds driving the Newmar through the city! Captain oh my captain handily navigated our rig w finesse and surprisingly low road rage. Besides the flurry of crowded highways and byways, the open road continues to offer up some of God’s best posts.

We landed in Kennebunkport at the very cozy Shady Pines Campground and managed w intermittent Uber to make it to town (4.4 miles away) for a delicious dinner and out again today for shopping and lunch. Key words laabstah and chowdah. There was a brief “Bush” siting but John reminded me none of the family would sport around town in a convertible. Still…it really looked like Neil Bush.

The last odd siting today was this witches of Eastwick convention sweeping across Main Street….no other commentary as they may visit my dreams tonight!

Headed tomorrow to the land Jill and Jessie love šŸ’• …LL Bean.

The perfectly toasted marshmallow!

Cheers from the campfire šŸ”„ n&j

  1. Looks like John boy is still “king of the road”. Terrific views, witches and all, but I keep going back to that laabstah roll!

    Love ya!
